Jum'ah Khutbah

It consists of two parts.
In the first part:
Imam greets the attendants.
Imam sits down while the Azaan is being called by mu'azhzhin
He then delivers the First Khutbah :

Innalhamdu lillaahi nahmaduhu wa nasta ‘eenuhu wa nastaghfiruhu
Wa na ‘uuzhu Billaahi min shuruuri anfusinaa wamin sayyi ‘aati a ‘maalina.
May yahdihillaahu falaa mudilla lahu
wa may yudlilhu falaa haadiya lah.
Wa Ash hadu allaa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shariika lahu
wa Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhuu wa Rasuuluh.

Meaning : Praise belongs to Allah, we praise him, and we ask him for guidance and forgiveness. And we seek protection in Allah from the malice of our own souls, and the evil of our actions. Whom Allah guides, no one can lead him astray, and whom He makes astray, no one can lead him back to the right path. I bear witness that there is no other deity but Allah, by himself, no associate to him, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his slave and Messenger.

‘Yaa ayyuha’lladheena aamanu-ttaqu’Llaaha haqqa tuqaatihi wa laa tamootunna illaa wa antum muslimoon

Meaning : O you who believed! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except as Muslims.

‘Yaa ayyuha’n-naas uttaqu rabbakum alladhi khalaqakum min nafsin waahidatin wa khalaqa minhaa zawjahaa wa baththa minhumaa rijaalan katheeran wa nisaa’an wa’ttaqu-Llaah alladhi tasaa’aloona bihi wa’l-arhaama inna Allaaha kaana ‘alaykum raqeeban

‘Yaa ayyahu’lladheena aamanu-ttaqu’Llaaha wa qooloo qawlan sadeedan
yuslih lakum a’maalakum wa yaghfir lakum dhunoobakum, wa man yuti’i-llaaha wa rasoolahu faqad faaza fowzan ‘adheemaa.

Meaning : O you who believed! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the truth.
That He may make your conduct whole and sound, and forgive you your sins: he that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has then attained the highest Achievement.

Amma bad, Fainna khairal hadeethi kitabullah, wa khairal hadi, hadi Muhammad, wa sharrul umur muhdathatuha, wa kullu bida’atin dalaala, wa kullu dalalatin finnar

Now Imam tells or teaches people about an issue.(He may simply read and/or explain the meaning of some verse(s) of Quran or meaning of some hadiths)
He then ends the first part of the Khutbah by saying :

Wa Akhirü da’wana anil hamda lillahi rabbil’alamin

Meaning : All praise and thanksgiving belong to ALLAH, Lord of the universe

In the second part :
After delivering the first part of the sermon, the Imam sits down for a short while, then stands up again and starts with the second part :

Amma bad, Fainna khairal hadeethi kitabullah, wa khairal hadi, hadi Muhammad, wa sharrul umur muhdathatuha, wa kullu bida’atin dalaala, wa kullu dalalatin finnar

After reading the above verses, he reads 'Daruud Shareef', which is :

Allaahumma salli 'alaa Muhammadin wa 'alaa 'aali Muhammadin, kamaa sallayta 'alaa 'Ibraaheema wa 'alaa 'aali 'Ibraaheema, 'innaka Hameedun Majeed.
Allaahumma baarik 'alaa Muhammadin wa 'alaa 'aali Muhammadin, kamaa baarakta 'alaa 'Ibraaheema wa 'alaa 'aali 'Ibraaheema, 'innaka Hameedun Majeed

Meaning : O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the family of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

Thus, the sermon ends. Finally, The preacher concludes by reading the following verse :

'Ibadallah.
Udkurullahal 'azema yadh kurkum, wash kuruuhu yazid kum, was taghfiruhu yaghfir lakum, wattaquhu yaj'allakum min amri kum makhraja. Wa aqimis-salah

Meaning : Slaves of Allah! "Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that you may remember." [Quran 16:90]. Remember Allah the supreme (in glory) and He will remember you, and be thankful to Him, and He will increase you in bounty, and seek His forgiveness, He will forgive you, and have Taqwa of Him (Godfearing, devoutness, piety), He will make for you a way out of your issues. Establish the prayer.

Imam stands for jum'ah salaah.
Mu'azhzhin calls Iqaamah and imam commences 2 rakaats salaah.
